Caffe Lucano takes it's name from a region of Italy just south of Naples called Lucania which is the birth place of the owner Francesco Rubolino.

Caffe Lucano is a pleasance, relaxed cafe situated just outside the centre of Edinburgh round the corner from the Mueseum of Scotland, accross the road from Greyfriars Bobby and above the infamous cowgate and grassmarket. It has a friendly atmosphere with Italian voices floating around as the bulk of the staff and the owner are Italian giving an authentic feel to the place.

Children of all ages are very welcome and we have high chairs for them the staff will do anything possible to keep them entertained. We also have a no smoking policy throughout the cafe so you and your children can enjoy the food.
